In this episode, we hear from podcaster and comic creator, Gabe Cheng.

Gabe shares with us some of his loves in the geek culture world, including Futurama, Batman and Monty Python. He goes through his history with geek culture and shares how he is able to keep a hold of his loves. How he is able to look past the flaws and small details that don't directly speak to him and see the deeper value of the media.

We also learn how Gabe got involved in making comics and how, from a background of writing screenplays, he took the dive and decided to create his own product. We also learn a bit more about his Kickstarter process, some of the hurdles he's had to climb and the lessons he's learnt.
We then have a chat about his latest project, 'Crashlands' a new comic book currently in the Kickstarter stage (ending October 20th 2022) about an alien who has crashlanded on Earth after misjudging a shortcut.

The Kickstarter has reached its target and Gabe has started releasing stretch goals and extra content, so don't miss out! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gabechengcomics/crashlands-a-one-shot-science-fiction-comedy
